Oregon State volleyball student-athletes Kinley Swan received Pac-12 All-Freshman Team honors, while Izzi Szulczewski was named All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention as announced by the Pac-12 offices on Tuesday afternoon.
Swan finished the year with the second-best hitting percentage in program history for a freshman and eighth highest overall, attacking at a .313 clip. The Orem, Utah native put away 155 kills on the season with 119 coming during Pac-12 action. In her collegiate debut, Swan, had 10 kills on 15 attempts for the highest attacking percentage for any Beav during the 2022 season at .600%. She finished the year with four matches in double-figures for kills, including back-to-back matches with a career-high 11 kills against UCLA and Stanford.
On the defensive end, she finished second on the squad in blocks tallying 66.0 with 11 coming via solo stuffs. Swan led the charge on the block on seven occasions for the Beavs, including a season-high seven in the five-set win over Alabama.
Szulczewski recorded the first Oregon State triple-double in five years in the win over Portland needing just three sets to record 22 digs, 12 assists and 11 kills and followed the effort with her second of the year against Tulane going for 22 assists, 13 digs and 12 kills. She finished the season as the only Pac-12 student-athlete with multiple triple-doubles and one of just 16 in the country to accomplish the feat. On top of the pair of triple-doubles, Szulczewski, also added seven double-doubles, including five during conference play.
The Beaverton, Ore. native led the Beavs in kills in four matches and finished second on the team with 228 kills. She recorded a career-best 18 kills in the four-set victory over Colorado, while her 22 digs in the triple-double against Portland also set a new best.
