Oregon State junior Cleveland Belton has been named the Pac-12's Wrestler of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday afternoon.
The honor marks the first of his career – following his first weekend as a Beaver student-athlete.
Belton – ranked 23rd by Intermat and 24th by Flowrestling – had a 4-0 mark in his opening weekend, which included a win by decision over the 22nd-ranked opponent in the 141-pound class and a 3-0 performance at the Black Knight Scramble, which included a pair of wins by tech fall.
Belton and the Beavers will have their home opener this coming Sunday, November 13th – a tri-meet with Clackamas and Linfield – at 2 p.m.
