Service is key to being Bushnell.
Service is key to being Bushnell. In today's chapel, our Beacons assembled move-in kits filled with supplies in collaboration with Everyone Village, a holistic community that provides shelter and support programs for those experiencing homelessness in Eugene.
This opportunity came from ASBU led discussions last semester on a desire to provide more service opportunities for students to take part in. Over several months, a team of students led by ASBU president Gabe Fatooh, Courtney Weinberger (Academic VP), Mackenzie Hunton (Community Service Club President), and Hannah Beers (Coordinator for Global Ministry,) connected with Gabe Piechowicz '19, leader of Everyone Church, on how Bushnell could become more involved. The team of students even led visits to Everyone Village in preparation to serve.
Way to go, Beacons!
