Public Health Advisory Committee Meeting on July 5

Benton County has secured national experts through federal funding for an upcoming assessment of its jail and justice system. Consultants Alan Richardson and Roger Lichtman will tour facilities, meet stakeholders, review past efforts, then present recommendations during a public meeting on June 18.

A Wilsonville man was arrested after an eight-month investigation into allegations involving minors using Snapchat. Authorities say more victims are possible as the case continues. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with information to come forward.

Oregon Supreme Court Chief Justice Meagan Flynn and State Court Administrator Nancy Cozine visited Benton County this week as part of efforts to understand local court needs.
