The Oregon State wrestling team secured the 2026 Pac-12 Championship at Mott Athletics Center in San Luis Obispo, California, on Friday. Four wrestlers from the team won individual titles during the event.
This victory marks Oregon State’s 26th conference title in program history. The Beavers have now achieved back-to-back championships and have won three of the last four under head coach Chris Pendleton.
Gabe Whisenhunt (133 pounds), Nash Singleton (141 pounds), Matthew Olguin (165 pounds), and Daschle Lamer (174 pounds) each claimed first place in their respective weight classes. These wins earned them automatic spots at the NCAA Championships, which will take place from March 19 to March 21 at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
Maximo Renteria (125 pounds) and Justin Rademacher (197 pounds) finished second in their divisions and qualified for the NCAA Championships through allocation spots.
Oregon State led the team standings with a score of 92.5 points, followed by Little Rock with 81 points, Cal Poly with 73 points, and Cal State Bakersfield with 27 points.
Whisenhunt returned after missing the previous season to win his matches by major decisions against Anthony Lucio of Cal Poly and Dillon Cooper of Little Rock. Singleton, ranked No. 23 nationally at 141 pounds, secured his second consecutive Pac-12 title with major decision victories over Alek VanBebber of Cal Poly and Brennan Van Hoecke of Little Rock.
Olguin also repeated as Pac-12 champion at 165 pounds after defeating Coen Quintana of Cal State Bakersfield and Anthony Berg of Cal Poly. He is currently a graduate student from Fresno, California, leading his team in career victories this season.
Lamer dominated his weight class at 174 pounds with major decisions over Guillermo Escobedo of Cal State Bakersfield and Gunner Holland of Little Rock. As a redshirt sophomore from Corvallis, he improved his record this season to 20-3.
Renteria, ranked eighth nationally at 125 pounds, recorded wins against Tyson Roach of Little Rock and Richard Castro-Sandoval of Cal State Bakersfield before falling to Koda Holeman of Cal Poly. Rademacher, ranked ninth nationally at 197 pounds, had victories over Chris Neal of Cal State Bakersfield and Cole Jackson of Cal Poly but lost to Stephen Little of Little Rock.
