The Oregon State men’s rowing team finished sixth at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships, according to a May 17 announcement. The event took place Sunday morning at Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, California.
The results highlight the team’s performance across several races. The Beaver Varsity 8 recorded a time of 6:08.3, placing them sixth behind Washington, California, Stanford, UBC, and UC San Diego. Washington claimed the conference title with a time of 5:40.5.
In other events, the Oregon State Varsity 4 placed third with a time of 7:25.1. The Beaver second varsity eight (2V8) secured fifth place by finishing in 6:15.5, while the third varsity eight (3V8) also came in fifth with a time of 6:24.6.
According to race lineups provided by Oregon State Athletics, athletes including Kainoa Orgeles and Fiona Ryan participated as coxswains for their respective boats alongside teammates Luke Wages, Jake Edelstein, Connory Lynch and others.
The Beavers are scheduled to close out their season in two weeks when they compete at the IRA National Championships.
