Benton County to receive expert justice system assessment from national consultants

Benton County has secured national experts through federal funding for an upcoming assessment of its jail and justice system. A Wilsonville man was arrested after an eight-month investigation into allegations involving minors using Snapchat. Authorities say more victims are possible as the case continues. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with information to come forward.

Oregon Supreme Court officials visit Benton County and tour new courthouse site

Oregon Supreme Court Chief Justice Meagan Flynn and State Court Administrator Nancy Cozine visited Benton County this week as part of efforts to understand local court needs. They toured both current facilities and ongoing construction at Benton County’s future courthouse while meeting with legal professionals and community members.
