Benton County revises schedule for upcoming COVID-19 bivalent booster vaccine events

0Comments

Due to an unexpected short-term vaccine shipment delay, the Benton County Health Department has revised its scheduled COVID-19 bivalent booster events next week at the Benton County Event Center and Fairgrounds and Oregon State University. Vaccine shipments are expected to arrive the week of October 10th. The updated schedule has been changed from October 8-13, and will now occur October 11-13.

During Tuesday’s Board meeting, County commissioners and leadership heard from Benton County’s public health director, April Holland.

“We are experiencing challenges with short term delays in receiving bivalent vaccine supplies. Benton County Health will continue to host community events as vaccine supply allows,” Holland said. “Due to the tight turn around in logistics and planning required for community vaccination clinics, even short delays like this one, at the wrong time, can be disruptive.”

The Benton County Fairgrounds & Event Center vaccination event and the Oregon State University Beaver Booster Blitz will now be held Tuesday, October 11 to Thursday October 13, while supplies last.

Here is the full revised schedule for upcoming booster events at Benton County Event Center and Fairgrounds and Oregon State University.  Dates are subject to change based on delivery. Vaccines available while supplies last, no appointment is needed at any of these events:
